So Banj said this in a blog post last night: A challenge The only problem is, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE CHALLENGE IS. This is what happens when I'm bored, want to write something, but have no idea what. "Hey, write that and then you'll think of something later!" Last Night Me said. Last Night Me is an idiot.
So what should the challenge be?

It's rather quiet over in Popmundo these days, with everyone seemingly either swanning off on holiday or gearing up for forthcoming work stuff. Meanwhile I seem to have spent the majority of the summer feeling unwell. I should probably go bug a doctor about it some more, if only to get my nagging mum off my back about it (I started with a hacking cough, added various other things along the way which have now largely buggered off again, but the bloody cough remains). I'm going nowhere and doing nothing, it's quite the exciting summer *glares jealously at the people with lives*
Popowise, I'm pretty much lacking in inspiration at the minute, so don't expect anything even remotely interesting from Clan Bolger until it returns. Avant (Mason and Banj's band) should finally have enough fame to start releasing records at the start of next month. I've somehow conspired not to mess up anything tourwise so far, which may very well be a first for me. So expect a failed show shortly, now that I've cursed it by saying that. Jeremy and Algy are taking part in the Asia Cup Beach Sports competition in Tokyo, after which they'll no doubt return to staring into space in Melbourne and London respectively. Mayoral and Treasury stuff, and assorted political goings on elsewhere have been slowly driving me up the wall for the last few months. And especially the bloody stadium, with a spate of clueless band leaders deciding that a extended argument about ticket pricing via PM is a really fun way to pass some time. Here's a hint: it's not. And then various Tallinn citizens decided that Mason's PM inbox was a good place to argue about their city and its elections too - no thanks, there's a forum for that. Newsflash here - I, the puppetmaster, do not actually like arguing. Therefore they, the puppets, don't either. Mason is a mouthy bitch, and she'll put across her point in forum, forcefully if required, but at no point is she, or me, looking for a one-on-one fight about any of it. Public debates only. Arguing and fighting, especially behind closed doors, is not that, and I have no interest in it. And thus ends this post that largely exists because it's been a while since the last one, so I figured I'd better say something. Ho hum. Cheerio. Turns out this writing lark is quite fun. Who knew? I refer to over there, not here, this is as shit as always. Giving Mason some childhood background - lo, she had parents! She's not just a lab-grown experiment in snark!
The fountain in question in the blog post of the same name is this one, btw, the Stewart Memorial Fountain in Kelvingrove Park. Mason's Glasgow childhood predates Glasgow appearing in Popo, so any excuse to steal RL stuff from my very favourite city in the world. |
